Richard L. Forst

Richard L. Forst, 60, Marysville, died Saturday, November 7, 2020. Visitation will be held Noon until 9 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2020 at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. A private funeral service will be Saturday, November 14 at Victory Baptist Church. A public burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Blue Rapids, Saturday, November 14 at 1:15 p.m. Richard was born to James and Rosemary (Umscheid) Forst on September 28, 1960 at Topeka. In 1978, he graduated from Marysville High School and in 1979, from Southeast Community College, Milford, NE. Richard sold Amway, worked for Stewart & Stevenson, Shell Oil Company (offshore drilling), Diamond F Electric, over the road trucking, farmed and raised livestock. Most recently, he was involved in agriculture related hauling. Richard enjoyed time with family and playing cards, especially with his nieces and nephews. He had a note on his mirror, “On the morning of August 24, 2003, my life was changed thru God and the Holy Spirit.” He had strong beliefs, enjoyed the outdoors and simple things. He was a free spirit. Preceding him in death was his father, James. Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Forst; siblings, Becky (Ron) Ragan, Mary Joerg, Pat (Chuck) Brookshire and Pam (Rob) Glover; and nieces and nephews.
