Robert E. Talbot

Robert E. Talbot, 69, of Seneca, KS, passed away February 26, 2023, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Visitation was from noon until service time. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Robert was born March 20, 1953, at Marysville to Sylvis and Roberta (Farrar) Talbot. In 1971, he graduated from Marysville High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his Honorable Discharge he returned to Marysville and helped with the family farm. Robert also worked at Tension Envelope in Marysville and Kansas City. He also owned the Bigger Jigger Bar in Kansas City. Robert lived in Arizona for 14 years before moving to Axtell in 2022. A few months ago he moved to Seneca. Robert loved riding his Harley, playing the guitar and singing, fishing and painting pictures. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy Calloway. Survivors include his children, Robert S. (Angie) Talbot, Axtell, and Christopher (Michala Sullivan) Talbot, Axtell; sisters, May Gose, Lincoln, NE, Kay (Charles) Wienck and Gay (Dale) Snider, both of Topeka; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
