Ronald J. Von Dollen

Ronald J Von Dollen, 82, Marysville, died at CMH on Friday, May 24th.  A funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Marysville.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church. Private burial will be in Washington City Cemetery. Ron was born in Omaha, NE on August 2, 1936, to Harold and Anna Dixon Von Dollen.  He was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic church in Omaha at the Sacred Heart Parish.  He attended high school at Omaha Tech.  He joined the Navy Reserves in Omaha.  In February of 1977, he married Elizabeth (Sheckler) Malsbury. He held various custodian positions over the years including working for the University of Nebraska Lincoln.  In retirement he worked at Habitat for Humanity Thrift Shop, through the Green Thumb program and at Ehnen Automotive.   Ron was a member of St Gregory's Catholic Church.  He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching sports, especially the Royals and loved to travel.  He will be remembered as a friendly person who knew no strangers.  He enjoyed children and visited St Gregory's school to share stories with the students.   Ron is survived by a brother, Bob Von Dollen, Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Anna; infant brother; and wife Betty (Elizabeth).  Ron was thankful for all his Marysville Community Friends.   To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Ronald J.
