RosaeLee Crow

RosaeLee Crow, 83, died Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Cambridge Place in Marysville.  

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, at Immanuel Lutheran (Stateline) Church, north of Marysville.  The family received friends one hour prior to service time.  Pastor Jim Ernst officiated.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

RosaeLee was born on December 21, 1940, to Edwin and Clara (Stutheit) Oestmann at Johnson, NE, where she grew up.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Peru State College.  On August 14, 1966, she was united in marriage to Bill Crow and was married for 55 years, before his passing.

RosaeLee taught in Odell, NE for a few years before moving to Marysville. During her teaching career at USD 364, she taught kindergarten for one year and the remaining thirty-one years were as a first-grade teacher.  

She worked in the sale barn café and had the B & R Firework stand north of Marysville.   RosaeLee loved crafts, sewing, gardening and animals.  Often, RosaeLee enjoyed socializing, eating out and visiting the casinos.  She took part in church activities such as quilting and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bill; and siblings, Larry Oestmann, Adolph Oestmann, Lester Oestmann, Roy Oestmann and Eileen Saathoff.

Survivors include her children, Marlys (Jay) Hiltgen, Topeka, Troy (Jennifer Schneider) Crow, Marysville; twin brother, Ron (Beverly) Oestmann, Shenandoah, IA, brother Harlan (Betty) Oestmann and sister Lois (Les) Othmer, both of Tecumseh, NE; three grandchildren, Bridget Hiltgen, Kasey Hiltgen and Taylor Hiltgen and great granddaughter, Jayden.

A memorial fund is established to Meadowlark Hospice.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, KS.
