Rosemary L. Studer

November 4, 1933 — January 23, 2020

Rosemary Studer, 86, of Beattie, KS passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. She had been a resident there for four years, where she received the best of care and was treated like family. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, at St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Beattie. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 31, at St. Malachy's Catholic Church.  Father Nathan Haverland will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Beattie. Rosemary was born in Pawnee City, NE to Frank and Mary (Glynn) Mitchell on November 4, 1933, the youngest of nine children. On June 23, 1951 she was united in marriage to Merlin (Mac) Studer. She was a devoted homemaker and beloved mother. She spent a vast majority of her life taking care of others in multiple ways, whether they were family, friends, or community members. Her Catholic faith was a huge part of who she was. For many years, she helped run the NeMar Center in Beattie, which was the first food pantry in the area. She loved gardening and always had a large vegetable garden until arthritis wouldn't allow her to do so. She also enjoyed walks, sunsets, casino trips and cardinals. But her faith, family, and friends were by far the most important to her. She will be remembered most for her kindness, smile, and her devotion to God. Rosemary is survived by her three children, Michael Studer (Vickie), Beattie, KS, Patrick Studer, Kansas City, MO, and Katherine Rose, St. Joseph, MO; three grandchildren, Charles Studer (Jane), Brian Studer (Amy), and Margaret Weible; ten great grandchildren: Dylan, Julia, Ellie, Mac, Johanna, Rylie, Jacqueline, Brianna, Caroline, and Callahan; and one sister, Lucille Dryer. She was preceded in death by her husband Mac; two infant daughters, Linda and Mary; and siblings, Vincent, Paul, Raymond, Imelda, Betty, Theresa and Sr. Adrienne. A memorial fund is established and will be designated to St. Malachy's Catholic Church.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
