Sean A. Spellmeier, 30, of Marysville, KS, died October 12, 2021, at his home in Marysville. Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 22, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. Pastor Julie Shields will officiate. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Sean was born March 3, 1991, at Marysville, KS, son of Chris and Joni (Shepherd) Spellmeier. In 2009, he graduated from Marysville High School and then attended Manhattan Area Technical College and studied Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. After graduating from Manhattan Area Technical College he started working at Landoll Corporation in HVAC and maintenance. Sean enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the Kansas City Chiefs, and riding ATV’s with his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Connie Spellmeier and Leland and Velda Shepherd. Survivors include his parents, Chris and Joni Spellmeier; brother, Scott (Danielle) Spellmeier, Marysville; nieces, Josie and Jaclyn Spellmeier; special friend, Rachelle Guenther and her children, Tayden and Bentley, Marysville; grandfather, Clarence Spellmeier, Home, KS; aunts and uncles, Carrie Svoboda (Doug), Marysville, Craig Spellmeier and Corey Spellmeier, both of Home, Collin Spellmeier, Manhattan, KS, and John (Kelly) Shepherd, Topeka, KS; cousins, Hunter Svoboda, Cody Svoboda, Conner Svoboda, Mitchell Shepherd and Jenna Steenson. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
