Sharon Dee Marx

Sharon Dee Marx, 84, Marysville, KS, died Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Frankfort Community Care Home in Frankfort.

Sharon was born on November 2, 1941, in Marysville to Glen and Wanda (Parrott) Lockwood. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1959. After high school, she started a job at Kansas State University, where she met her husband. In 1960, she married Richard Marx at the First Christian Church in Marysville. Two children were born to this union, Ronald and Michele.

Sharon was a secretary for many businesses in Marysville throughout the years. She was a longtime pianist at the First Christian Church and sang with Harmony III. She was a member of Kiwanis and served on numerous church organizations. Sharon loved sewing, was active with arts and crafts, and collected eagle statues.

Her family and grandchildren were especially important to her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Richard; son; Ronald Marx; son-in-law, Don Richardson; and brother, Donald Lockwood.

Survivors include daughter, Michele Richardson; daughter-in-law, Melody Marx; nine grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Jacob (Josie), Jackie, Steven, Mike, Chris, Aleia and Rebekah Marx; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, KS.
