With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sharon (Leupold) Seematter, who peacefully entered eternal rest on December 19, 2025, at the age of 77.
Visitation will be held on January 9, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort, KS.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., January 9, at Annunciation Catholic Church, Frankfort.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., January 10, at Annunciation Catholic Church. Father Quentin Schmitz will officiate. The organist will be Jody Turnbull and the cantor is Angie Armstrong. Music selections will include "On Eagle's Wings", "Ave Maria", "I Am the Bread of Life", and "Amazing Grace."
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Frankfort.
Sharon was born on May 7, 1948, in Vliets, Kansas. On October 16, 1965, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gerald Seematter. Together, they built their home and raised their family in Frankfort, Kansas.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved being outdoors and had a passion for gardening, cooking, and spending time with her dogs. Her warm spirit, kindness, and gentle presence touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Julie (Robert) Sedlemeyer of Turlock, California; Daniel Seematter of Frankfort, Kansas; and David (Hillary) Seematter of Overland Park, Kansas; her grandchildren, Jessica, B, Ava, David, and Claire; her sister, Sherry; her brother, Bill; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Esther Leupold; her siblings, Marilyn, Larry, and Chris; her husband, Gerald Seematter; and her son, Joseph Seematter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meadowlark Hospice and sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel, C/o Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508
