Tabrina Anne Meyer, 58, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at her home near Hollenberg. Visitation is Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Hanover Mortuary, Hanover from noon until 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, north of Hanover. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Tabrina Anne Meyer, a free-spirited and strong-willed woman, defied all odds throughout her remarkable life journey, showcasing a heart as resilient as it was compassionate. Her inner strength shone brightly, guiding her through life's challenges with unwavering determination. In the face of adversity, Tabbi's indomitable spirit and boundless love for others propelled her forward, inspiring those around her to embrace their own inner strength. Tabbi's unwavering courage and the enduring strength of her heart will forever be remembered, inspiring us all to face life's trials with grace and fortitude. Born on December 27, 1964, in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of Stanley Bruna and Barbara (Riepen) Bruna. On Saturday, May 20, surrounded by her loved ones, Tabbi, at the age of 58 years, 4 months, and 28 days, found her place in the Glory of Heaven, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration and warmth. Tabbi's unwavering faith in God was evident from an early age. She was baptized into the Christian faith on April 12, 1967, at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover. Her spiritual journey continued as she received her first Communion on April 8, 1973, at St. John's, and was later confirmed on April 28, 1979. Tabbi was a graduate of Hanover High School in 1983, where she carved her path with determination and a spirited attitude. On July 19, 1986, Tabbi embarked on a lifelong adventure with her soulmate, Michael Meyer. They met for the first time at the infamous ‘Days of 49’ and the rest was history. The joyous union took place at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover, with Father Albert DeSanctus presiding over the ceremony. Together, Tabbi and Mike built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. She approached life with a vibrant passion, embracing various hobbies and experiences. Gardening brought her solace and delight, as she nurtured vibrant blooms and cultivated a lush paradise on their family farm. Collecting antiques and exploring garage sales allowed her to unearth hidden treasures and connect with the stories of the past. Traveling with her daughter Adrianne was her gateway to adventure, immersing herself in diverse cultures, and forging connections that transcended borders. Alongside her beloved husband Mike, Tabbi dedicated her energy to the family farm, becoming an integral part of their shared labor. Her commitment to their agricultural endeavors exemplified her determination and strength. Tabbi's magnetic personality was characterized by her infectious sense of humor and untamed spirit. Laughter followed her wherever she went, as she delighted in playing lighthearted jokes that spread joy and brought people together. Her ability to bring a smile to the faces of those around her was a testament to her spirit. Furthermore, Tabbi selflessly served as a para for USD 223, dedicating herself to nurturing and supporting students with care and compassion. Tabbi is survived by her adoring husband, Michael, who stood beside her through every adventure until her last breath. Their daughter, Adrianne Meyer, and her partner, Frederick Usoltseff, continue to carry her spirit forward. Her son, Michael Hayes, and grandchildren, Rylee and Austin Hayes, will forever hold her love in their hearts. Tabbi's immense love extended to her dear nieces, nephews, and an abundance of treasured friends who held a special place in her heart. She found immense joy in their company, relishing the opportunity to create lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Countless sleepovers filled with stories, giggles, and shared secrets were a testament to the bond she shared with each of them. Holidays became magical occasions as Tabbi dedicated herself to ensuring every moment was infused with warmth and joy, spoiling them with affection, gifts, and cherished traditions. Tabbi's favorite holiday to create these cherished moments of love and joy was Christmas. The festive season held a special place in her heart, as she embraced the spirit of giving and brought enchantment to the lives of her nieces, nephews, and dear friends. With twinkling lights, beautifully adorned trees, and an atmosphere brimming with warmth, Tabbi transformed each Christmas into a magical experience. Her contagious excitement and meticulous planning ensured that every detail was perfect, from carefully selected gifts to delightful surprises that lit up the faces of those she held dear. The love and joy she poured into these celebrations remain etched in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, and friends, forever a testament to her unwavering spirit and the boundless love she shared. Tabbi's departure from this world leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tabbi was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara; mother-in-law, Bernice Meyer; father-in-law, Arthur Meyer; grandparents, William and Grace Riepen, Sylvester and Lillian Bruna, William and Louise Klipp and Fred and Ella Meyer. Survivors include her husband, Michael; son, Michael Hayes; daughter, Adrianne Meyer and her partner Fredereick Usoltseff; father, Stanley Bruna; grandchildren; Rylee and Austin Hayes; sisters, Pam (Jeff) Schroller, Angi (Rick) Richard, Carrie (Aaron) Busse and Deanna (Brant) Hanquist; brothers, Chris (Jody) Bruna and Nick (Raechel) Bruna; sister-in-law, Maxine (Mark) Mason; brothers-in-law, James (Karen) Meyer, Steven (Teri) Meyer and Daniel (Doris) Meyer; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
