William "Billy" R. Schroller

William R. "Billy" Schroller, 82, Oketo, died October 18, 2021 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation will be held from noon until 9 p.m., Sunday, October 24 at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 25 at Marysville Christian Fellowship. Brad Wicks will officiate. The music will include "In the Garden", "Love Without End, Amen", "Fathers and Daughters" and "I Wish Grandpas Never Died". Pallbearers are Derick Schroller, Brennan Wetter, Logan Wetter, Loran Caffrey, Bryce Buss and Carter Caffrey. Honorary pallbearers are Ashley Schroller, Kayley Schroller, Colten Caffrey, Cambyl Caffrey and Brooke Pohlman. Burial will be in the Oketo Cemetery. Billy was born April 11, 1939, in Oketo to William and Hannah (Hoefling) Schroller. Billy attended Oketo grade school and Barneston High School. On April 8, 1961, he was united in marriage to Joyce Barker in Manhattan. He worked at OK Rubberweld, Heinzelman Sand and Gravel and retired from Hall Brothers Construction in 2008 after 28 years. Billy was a member of the Moose Lodge; was a city council member for Oketo and served on the Oketo Cemetery board. Billy enjoyed working on antique tractors, old cars and trucks. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Joyce in 2019; infant son, Scott Schroller; sister, Lois Novotny; and brother, Dale Schroller Survivors include children, Rick (Deanna) Schroller, Oketo, Ron (Joan) Schroller, Oketo, Nikki (Mark) Wetter, Marysville; siblings, Luann McCown, Lincoln, NE, Darlene Haner, Marysville, Shirley (Bill) Kossow, Marysville, Kay (Don) Butler, Marysville and Gary (Carla) Schroller, Randolph; seven grandchildren, Ashley Schroller, Derick Schroller, Brennan Wetter, Logan Wetter, Kayley Schroller, Brooke Pohlman and Bryce Buss and three great grandchildren, Carter Caffrey, Colten Caffrey and Cambyl Caffrey.
