William S. “Sam” Cassidy, 86, of Beattie, KS, passed away February 28, 2024, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville, KS.
Private family burial will take place at a later date.
Sam was born August 31, 1937, to William and Pearl (Wharthen) Cassidy at Axtell, KS. In 1955, he graduated from Beattie High School.
October of 1955, he began his service for the Army, where he was stationed in Germany. He was discharged in 1957.
Sam was united in marriage to Mary Borgerding at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church on June 20, 1969, in Marysville. To this union, they were blessed with two sons.
He was a lifelong farmer.
Survivors include his son, Courtney Cassidy, Beattie.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Mary, November 28, 2012; infant son, William; and sister, Lila McCall.
